Finally, a finished object! These have been languishing for ages, due to illness, disorganisation and lack of time in which I could concentrate on anything more complicated than stocking stitch or granny squares. They hung around at the ‘single mitten’ stage for months, and then the second mitten waited nearly two months for a thumb. But they were finished eventually and posted off to the intended recipient. Of course, while modelling them, I decided I want a pair for myself, so that may have to be another winter knitting project.
The pattern is called ‘Fetching’ and it is available, free, from the lovely Knitty magazine – here. The yarn is less than one skein of Knitpicks Swish merino (which is lovely) and I wish I had more.
