National identity is a funny thing. I’m probably English. People tend to say so. I was born in England, and I have an English accent. But my mum was born in Scotland and my dad grew up in Wales, so I never really felt very English until I went to live in Scotland. I suppose I’m one of the very few people who actually regard themselves as British. Now I live in Wales, and I hope and intend to stay here for the rest of my life. But I know I’ll never be Welsh. Still, as it’s St David’s Day, today’s list is ‘Things I like about Wales’. It’s not an exhaustive list, just things that came to mind as I was writing.
I also like this video (although I don’t agree with all of it) because it makes me laugh.
