I mentioned my love of apple blossom and of photographing it before. But this year I have an excuse. We have a very old apple tree (at least 150 years old) in our garden, and the local orchard doctors want to identify it in case it’s a rare variety. If it is, they’ll take grafts for their apple museum (for yes, there is such a thing). To identify it, we need to send them photos of the blossom and, come autumn, examples of the apples.
